From the Eleusinian Mysteries of Ancient Greece to biblical anointing oils, the Chinese myth of mellified man, Ancient Egyptian beauty ceremonies and scented human sacrifice, this event invited audiences to witness a masque of costumed personae dramatising each ritual, while supping and inhaling fragrances that conveyed the story of each society.
